I’m always up for a good dip. I love my Seven Layer Dip, my Caramelized Onion Dip, my Avocado Ranch Dip, my Easy Black Bean Dip, and my Cheese Dip…just to name a few. One of my favorites, and right at the top of the list, is my Easy Bean Dip.

This is the perfect bean dip recipe, made with refried beans, plain Greek yogurt (or sour cream), salsa, green chiles, and lots of cheese and taco seasoning. It’s served warm so the cheese melts and is super delicious!

This bean dip recipe is the perfect appetizer for game day, Cinco de Mayo, or any party! Everyone loves this spicy, cheesy bean dip!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces refried beans (canned beans can be used)
  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 4 ounces mild green chiles, drained
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend cheese, divided

Toppings:

Chopped green onions, chopped cilantro, chopped avocado, chopped jalapeno peppers, chopped grape tomatoes, fresh cheese Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a large bowl, combine refried beans, Greek yogurt, green chiles, salsa, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper.

Add 1 cup shredded cheese.

Spread bean mixture in an 8×8-inch baking dish or 2-quart baking dish.

Top with remaining 1 cup shredded cheese. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Remove from oven. Top bean dip with chopped green onions, cilantro, avocado, chiles, chopped tomatoes and fresh cheese. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
