Most eggs in supermarkets come from factory farms, which tend to feed their chickens only grain, which greatly limits their diet (and ours).
While that light yellow yolk isn’t exactly harmful in and of itself, it’s much less effective at providing the nutrients you’re expected to eat.
Free-range Eggs – Type 3
Free-range countertop eggs are more nutritious than caged eggs. They come from hens with a diet that consists mainly of grains and some insects. They’re less nutritious than eggs from pasture-raised chickens.
Free-range Eggs vs. Processed Farm Eggs
Diverse diets contain significantly more vitamin A, which is great for bone strength and vision; vitamin E, which promotes circulation and prevents oxidation; and omega-3 fatty acids, which can lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
Even better, free-range eggs also contain significantly less saturated fat and cholesterol than eggs produced in factory farms, making them better in every way, except perhaps the price. Worth the cost, don’t you think? Share this with your friends so they can see the benefits of dark eggs straight from the farm!
