Ingredients:
3 cups flour (all-purpose flour)
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon instant yeast
1/2 cup warm milk
1/2 cup warm water
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Preparation method:
Prepare the dough:
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt and yeast well.
In another bowl, mix the warm milk, warm water and melted butter.
Add the egg to the liquid mixture and mix well.
Mixing the ingredients:
Gradually add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients, and start kneading until you get a soft, elastic dough.
If the dough is too sticky, you can gradually add a little flour
Fermentation:
Cover the dough and leave it in a warm place for an hour until it doubles in size.
Forming the buns:
After the dough has risen, gently deflate it, then divide it into small, equal-sized balls (depending on the size of burger buns you want).
Shape each ball into a circle and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cover the balls and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
Baking:
Preheat oven to 190°C.
Brush the tops of the dough balls with a little milk or beaten egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Bake the bread in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
