ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
6 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup frozen diced onions
Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions:
Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook beef: In a skillet, cook beef bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels, crumble, and set aside.
Brown beef: In the same skillet, drain beef fat, reserving about 1 tablespoon. Add chopped onion and garlic and sauté until browned. Add ground beef and cook until browned, separating ingredients as they cook. Season with salt and pepper.
Add sauce: Stir barbecue sauce, mustard, and ketchup (if using) into beef mixture. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until well combined. Remove from heat.
Assemble dish: In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread beef mixture evenly across bottom. Sprinkle beef crumble on top. Add a layer of potato wedges (or cooked pasta, if you prefer).
Cheese: Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
Baking: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is cooked through and golden.
Garnish: Once the dish is out of the oven, garnish with chopped dill pickles and green onions for extra burger-like flavor.
Serving: Cut the dish into portions and enjoy your grilled beef and cheeseburger!
