Ingredients:
- 350g sifted wheat flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 5g dry yeast
- 210ml boiling but not hot water
- 30g vegetable oil
- Extra flour for dusting
- Milk for brushing
- Butter for brushing
Directions:
Prepare the dry ingredients:
Sift 350g wheat flour into a large mixing bowl.
Add 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt and 5g dry yeast and mix well until combined.
Add the wet ingredients:
Gradually add 210ml boiling but not hot water, mixing until the ingredients begin to come together.
Add 30g vegetable oil and continue mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough:
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
First Rise:
Grease the dough with a little vegetable oil and place it in a mixing bowl, cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
Leave it in a warm place to rest for 15 minutes.
Shaping the dough:
Once the dough has rested, transfer it back to a floured surface and gently press it to remove any air bubbles and shape it into your desired shape.
Use a knife to cut the dough into your preferred shape or size.
Second Rise:
Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with a cloth and leave to rest for another 10 minutes.
