For the holidays or celebrations, try this chocolate salami. It’s fun and delicious. Made with a delicious combination of chocolate, roasted nuts and crushed cookies, it’s surprisingly easy to make, and it’s a real treat.
Ingredients List:
Ingredients Yields
Two 4.9 oz containers of crumbled Maria cookies
Nuts, roasted and roughly chopped 30 grams chocolate chips 2 cups
Rich cream 3/4 cup butter, cut into cubes
Sprinkle with 1/3 cup powdered sugar.
Directions:
Prepare the cookies:
For fine crumbs, grind the Maria cookies in a food processor or place them in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
Toast the nuts:
For three to five minutes over medium heat, or until fragrant, toast the finely chopped walnuts in a dry skillet. To avoid burning, stir frequently.
Chocolate fondant:
Melt the chocolate chips in a skillet over low heat with the heavy cream and butter cubes. Stir regularly to melt the chocolate and ensure the mixture is smooth.
Remove the chocolate mixture from the heat and add the crushed cookies and toasted nuts until everything is combined.
Transfer the chocolate mixture to a large piece of plastic wrap and place on a flat surface. Shape the salami accordingly.
Tightly wrap the ingredients into a log or salami shape using the plastic wrap. To ensure a tight seal, twist the ends of the plastic wrap around the log.
Ready, set, relax! To firm up the chocolate salami, refrigerate it for at least 2 to 3 hours.
Finish and enjoy! Once you have opened the chocolate salami, coat it evenly by rolling it in powdered sugar. Before serving, cut the salami into slices.
