A delicious dessert with layers of chocolate, espresso and vanilla cream.

Instructions


1-Prepare the Crust:

eheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix the crushed chocolate cookies with the melted butter until well combined.
Press the mixture into the bottom of a 13x9x2 inch pan to form an even layer. Bake for about 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.

2-Prepare the Chocolate Layer:
In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
Gradually add the milk while whisking to prevent lumps. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla until smooth.
Pour the chocolate layer over the cooled crust and spread evenly. Let it cool while you prepare the next layer.

3-Prepare the Coffee Layer:
In a separate saucepan, combine the brewed espresso, heavy cream, sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks. Whisk until well mixed.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla.
Pour the coffee layer over the chocolate layer, spreading it evenly. Allow it to cool.

4-Prepare the Vanilla Cream Layer:
In another saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, cornstarch, sugar, and egg yolks. Whisk until smooth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla.
Pour the vanilla cream layer over the coffee layer, spreading it evenly.

5-Chill and Serve:
Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
Once set, cut into squares and serve chilled.
