If you need a quick and easy dessert, look no further than these baked peach dumplings. Using refrigerated crescent rolls as a base, these dumplings are ready in no time.
The dough is wrapped around canned peaches and drizzled with peach syrup, butter, sugar, and cinnamon before baking until perfectly tender.
When I was a child, my grandmother used to make me these peach dumplings every summer.
She had a peach tree in her backyard, and when the fruit was ripe, we would spend hours in the kitchen together, peeling, cutting, and rolling the peaches into crescent dough.
The warm scent of cinnamon filling her home was simply heavenly. To this day, the smell of peaches and cinnamon reminds me of those lazy summer evenings spent with my grandmother.
That’s why this recipe is so special to me—it’s not just a dessert, it’s a link to my past.
While these peach dumplings are delicious on their own, adding a creamy topping takes them to the next level.
Whether you prefer vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or even sour cream, the cool, creamy texture perfectly balances out the sweetness of the warm, gooey dumplings.
Trust me, once you take a bite of these hot, crunchy peach-filled dumplings with a scoop of cold, melted ice cream on top, you’ll know why this dessert has been a family favorite for generations.
