Simple and delicious Breton donuts with apples

Ingredients:

3 Queen apples
50 ml rum
3 tablespoons flour
250 ml milk
3 tablespoons sugar
3 eggs

Preparation:

Prepare the apples: Start by peeling the apples, removing the seeds and cutting them into small pieces. Then sprinkle them with rum to absorb that unique flavour.

Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until you get a foamy mixture. Add the flour gradually while continuing to beat to avoid lumps. Add the milk slowly to get a smooth and homogeneous dough.

Integrate the apples: Add the apple pieces soaked in rum to the mixture. Mix gently until the apples are well distributed.

Bake the donuts: Heat a non-stick frying pan with a little butter. Pour half a teaspoon of the whisk to form donuts.

Let cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.

Finishing and Serving: Sprinkle the cakes with sugar, and place them briefly under the broiler for a caramelized finish.

Serve hot for maximum enjoyment.
